What is Naturopathic Medicine?
What happens at the first naturopathic visit?
Before your initial visit, an intake form will provided to fill out. The first visit will be an an hour and a half in length where your health history will be reviewed in depth and physical examinations will be performed. An individualized treatment plan will then be put into action so that you know what to expect and feel confident in the approach to care. Any laboratory tests that are recommended will be used to guide treatment protocols.
What happens after my first visit?
Follow up visits structures will be outlined in the initial treatment plan. Your personalized plan may include nutritional & dietary counselling, lifestyle adjustments, botanical medicine and acupuncture. Your path to achieving optimal health will include in house treatment and at home changes. Your time and commitment are an important part of your healing journey, but you will always have the support of your naturopathic doctor to ensure sustainable and effective changes.
Are your services covered by my insurance?
Most insurance companies cover naturopathic care. Check with your insurance company for coverage specifics. Naturopathic medicine is not covered by OHIP. Dr. Ann-Marie offers direct billing to a variety of insurance companies.
Can I get a same-day appointment? Do you offer walk-in clinic services?
Do to COVID-19 walk- in services will not be available at this time. As long as you call or book online and fill out a COVID-19 screening questionnaire, same day and acute appointments are welcome.
